Handling New Reasonable Accommodations
Reasonable Accommodation services will continue to be performed via virtual interactions and in-person services can be provided when needed. Employees may request a reasonable accommodation orally or in writing by completing and submitting NASA Form (NF) 1699 to their immediate supervisor or the Headquarters Disability Program Manager, Felicia Toney, through email at hq-reasonable-accommodations@mail.nasa.gov.
Once a request for accommodation is made, the core component of the process is an interactive discussion between the employee and the employee’s supervisor to determine accommodations that can enable the employee to perform the essential functions of the job.

HQ Human Resources Office:
Onboarding: The onboarding process includes a blend of virtual and in-person interactions. New employees are sworn in and briefed virtually on important onboarding topics in human resources, EEO, and ethics. New employees will attend in-person appointments at the Headquarters building or another NASA Center for badging and to pick up IT assets. Other arrangements may be accommodated based on unique onboarding circumstances. FAQ telework guidance for new employees is on the NASA People website: https://nasapeople.nasa.gov/coronavirus/telework.html#faq
Contact Jeff Cunningham for additional information.
Offboarding: The offboarding process includes a blend of virtual and in-person interactions. The offboarding checklist accommodates electronic signatures that are collected virtually. Departing employees return the badge and IT assets at the Headquarters building; however, employees can make virtual arrangements based on unique offboarding circumstances.
Contact Jeff Cunningham for additional information.
